We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Interim Head of People to join Desenio for one year. With around 100 employees, we are looking for a strategic yet operational People leader. We’re on an exciting transformation journey and you will play a key role in leading the organisation through it, ensuring employees and leaders are equipped to adapt and succeed.

You will report directly to the CEO, be part of the Management Team, and play a key role in shaping our organisation, culture and people agenda. You will lead a small People & Culture team consisting of one HR Specialist and one Office Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

People Strategy

  • Develop and execute on the overall People & Culture strategy, aligned with the company's mission, values and company OKRs.
  • Drive and develop an inclusive, engaged and high-performing culture.
  • Drive employee engagement and follow up on initiatives and actions.
  • Support in the planning of key company events, kick-offs and office activities.

Leadership & Organisation

  • Act as the right hand to the CEO and Management Team.
  • Support managers in organisational design and team planning to drive growth and efficiency.
  • Coach and support managers in people-related matters, leadership and employee development.
  • Lead and develop the People & Culture team.

Talent & Development

  • Own and oversee recruitment together with hiring managers, ensuring we attract and hire the right people for the right roles.
  • Drive talent development and succession planning together with managers.
  • Own and manage the annual performance- and salary review processes.
  • Manage the compensation process, ensuring competitive and consistent People practices across the organisation.
  • Develop and implement learning and development initiatives, including leadership development, skills training and employee growth.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Together with the HR Specialist, ensure payroll is managed accurately and on time in collaboration with our outsourced payroll provider.
  • Oversee HR policies and processes to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Own the relationship with trade unions, where relevant.

Board Responsibilities

  • Participate in Board meetings and own the administration and coordination of the Board meetings.
  • Support the CEO and Board with People-related matters and strategic organisational topics as needed.

WHO YOU ARE

We believe you are an experienced senior People leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. You are equally comfortable discussing long-term organisational strategy and rolling up your sleeves to solve operational challenges.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • Several years of experience in a senior People or Head of People role.
  • Bachelor/Master Degree within the field of HR, Psychology or in another relevant field
  • Experience working closely with a CEO and senior leadership team.
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish employment law and HR best practices incl. performance management processes, and employee relations.
  • Experience with organisational development and change management.
  • Experience coaching managers, strengthening leadership capabilities and ownership across the organisation.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.

With fulfillment centers in the Czech Republic and the United States, we deliver art to customers around the world. Our group consists of around 100 employees representing over 20 nationalities and together we’re solving problems every day to help the world become a more beautiful place with our affordable art.

OTHER INFORMATION

Start date: December/January

Extent: This is a cover for maternity leave, with a fixed-term contract for 1 year. The extent of the position is full-time.

Location: Stockholm, Södermalm. This position is on-site.
