At Desenio Group, a Swedish e-commerce success story, we are passionate about interior decor and design! Our business idea is simple: on-trend, attractive wall decor should be available to everyone. Since our inception, we’ve continuously expanded and developed our offering, today customers can now shop our products in more than 30 countries. At Desenio Group, you’ll find a wide selection of wall art and mounting solutions inspired by Scandinavian style.

This is a performance marketing role. Not a brand role with performance on the side. Not a “full-funnel” role where paid media is one voice at the table. If your career has been built on brand strategy, creative direction, or campaign storytelling, this probably isn’t the right fit. We’re looking for a Chief Marketing Officer who has spent their career making paid media work - scaling customer acquisition, growing topline revenue, and doing it in a way that holds up at the margin level. You know that growing revenue and protecting GP3 are both non-negotiable, and you’ve lived the tension between them long enough to navigate it without flinching.

You’ll be expected to understand the full margin stack - GP1 through GP3 - and make media investment decisions at that level. ROAS is a signal, not a north star. Revenue matters, but not if it costs us more to acquire than we make. You’ll know the difference, and you’ll build the measurement frameworks to prove it.

You will be part of our global management team and lead four key functions through four experienced direct reports, each managing their own teams: Performance Marketing, Regional Activation, Content Management, and Web Experience. Reporting directly to our CEO, you will play a central role in shaping our growth strategy and driving customer acquisition and activation across channels and geographies.

YOUR TEAMS

Performance Marketing

Paid media execution across Google, Meta, and other key channels across 30+ markets. This is the engine room. You’ll push this team on acquisition volume, channel efficiency, and profitability — not just ROAS.

Regional Activation

Influencer and local market activation across 10+ markets. You’ll hold this team to measurable commercial outcomes, not just reach and engagement. Brand relevance matters — but it needs to connect to demand.

Content Management

Ensures content is live and accurate across all markets - covering editorial content, product listings, and translations, keeping our sites commercially sharp and up to date.

Web Experience

Owns on-site performance through CRO, UX, and SEO - continuously improving how customers experience and navigate our sites to maximise conversion and discoverability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop four high-performing teams through four direct reports, driving best-in-class execution and results
  • Own full-funnel performance across paid media, influencer activation, content operations, and on-site experience
  • Execute and optimize our marketing activation that drive customer acquisition, retention, and brand engagement at scale
  • Own budget and results for the function
  • Build scalable structures, processes, and reporting frameworks to support growth at scale
  • Stay ahead of trends in digital marketing and e-commerce — particularly in search, social, and AI-driven marketing - to ensure we are always ahead of the curve
  • Overall ownership of outside agencies and contractors
  • Provide clear, data-driven reporting for management, investors, and the Board of Directors

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 7+ years of experience in performance marketing, with a track record of leading across multiple channels and markets
  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing other managers and cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of current trends in marketing, including performance marketing, influencer marketing, on-site optimisation, and content operations
  • Strong understanding of full-funnel marketing, attribution, and media mix modeling
  • Hands-on experience with major ad platforms and analytics tools (e.g. Meta, Google, TikTok, Looker, etc.)
  • Experience working across multiple markets and adapting execution to local needs
  • Experienced using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Data Studio and similar
  • Excellent English proficiency, both spoken and written

AS A PERSON

We are looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong operational execution. You are analytical, data-driven and comfortable turning ideas into action. As a leader you are collaborative and communicative, bringing people together. You are not afraid of putting your ideas on the table, in order to create a top of line performance marketing journey. You communicate with confidence, challenge the status quo, and actively drive innovation and continuous development within the department. An interest in interior design is a plus.

WHAT WE OFFER

As CMO, you’ll have the opportunity to shape our strategy, lead high-performing teams, and drive real business impact across 30+ markets. You’ll be encouraged to grow in your role, explore new ideas, and stay ahead in an evolving digital marketing landscape.

At Desenio Group you’ll be part of a young and multicultural team in the company’s beautiful office in Sockholm’s Södermalm. You’ll find the core of our brand in our office- the Art Atelier, where our in-house teams of designers, artists, and creatives develop unique art collections. With fulfillment centers in the Czech Republic and the United States, we deliver art to customers around the world. Our group consists of around 100 employees representing over 20 nationalities and together we’re solving problems every day to help the world become a more beautiful place with our affordable art.
