Head of Communication & Brand

We are looking for a Head of Communication & Brand to lead and develop our communication team and help shape how Desenio Group’s brands come to life across channels and markets.

This is a key creative leadership role for someone who combines strong people leadership with strategic thinking, creative judgment and the ability to turn direction into action. You will lead our creative in-house communication team consisting of 4 creatives and be responsible for creating the conditions for great creative work: setting direction, developing people, establishing clear priorities and workflows, and ensuring strong delivery across multiple projects and stakeholders.

At the same time, this is not a role where you lead from a distance. We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to the work, shaping concepts, challenging ideas, giving creative direction and stepping in hands-on when needed. Working within our Creative organization, you will collaborate closely with Product, PR & Event and teams across Marketing, E-commerce and the wider organization to create communication that strengthens our brands and drives the business forward.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and develop the team

• Lead, coach and develop the Communication team, creating a high-performing environment.
• Set clear direction, priorities and expectations while building a collaborative, ambitious and supportive team culture.
• Understand the strengths within the team and continuously develop capabilities, roles and ways of working as our needs evolve.
• Create clarity in a fast-moving environment and help balance creativity, quality, speed and commercial priorities.

Drive creative and brand communication

• Lead the creative development of brand and commercial communication, from strategic direction and early concepts through to execution.
• Translate our brand strategies, business priorities, product focus and customer insights into clear and compelling communication.
• Ensure a strong and consistent brand expression across campaigns, launches and communication touchpoints.
• Challenge the expected, raise the creative bar and continuously explore how our brands can become more distinctive, relevant and engaging.

Build strong processes and delivery

• Own the planning and prioritization of the team’s work across multiple initiatives, campaigns and ongoing communication needs.
• Translate priorities and briefs, plans, timelines and deliverables.

• Drive the development of efficient, digital-first creative processes that simplify workflows, improve cross-functional collaboration and create both clarity and room for creativity.

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted creative and communication partner across the business.
• Confidently present and communicate creative initiatives, concepts and strategic recommendations across the organization.

Drive AI-enabled creative ways of working

• Actively use AI as part of the creative process, from research and ideation to concept development, copy, visual exploration, prototyping and production.
• Identify where AI can make our creative work smarter, faster and more scalable without compromising creative quality or brand distinctiveness.
• Help the team build confidence and capability in using new AI tools and workflows.
• Continuously explore emerging tools and technologies and translate their potential into practical ways of working for the team.
• Combine the possibilities of AI with strong human creative judgment, ensuring that technology enhances rather than replaces original thinking.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You are an experienced creative and communication leader who understands both brand, e-commerce and business.You have a strong strategic mindset, but you are equally comfortable moving into execution when needed. You can zoom out to define the bigger picture and zoom in to solve a brief, improve an idea or help a team get a project over the line.

You are a strong people leader who knows that great creative output starts with a great team. You enjoy developing people, building structure and creating an environment with high expectations, trust and room for different perspectives. You are also comfortable operating in an organization where things evolve. You see change as 
an opportunity to improve rather than something that needs to be avoided.

We believe you have:

• Several years of experience in a senior creative, brand or communication role, including experience leading and developing creative teams.
• Strong experience in brand development and multi-channel communication.
• A proven ability to lead creative work from strategy, brief and concept through to execution.
• Strong creative judgment and the confidence to provide clear direction and feedback across different creative disciplines.
• Excellent planning, prioritization and project leadership skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools within creative work and a genuine interest in developing new AI-enabled workflows and capabilities.
• Experience from an international, digital, e-commerce or fast-paced consumer brand environment is a strong advantage.

WHAT WE OFFER

At Desenio Group you’ll be part of a young and multicultural team in the company’s beautiful office in Sockholm’s Södermalm. You’ll find the core of our brand in our office- the Art Atelier, where our in-house teams of designers, artists, and creatives develop unique art collections. With fulfillment centers in the Czech Republic and the United States, we deliver art to customers around the world. Our group consists of around 100 employees representing over 20 nationalities and together we’re solving problems every day to help the world become a more beautiful place with our affordable art.

Start date: As soon as possible

Extent: This is a full-time position, with an initial probation period of 6 months.

Location: Stockholm, Södermalm. This position is on-site.
