We are currently looking for an interim Senior Accountant to join our Finance team at Desenio Group with a chance of becoming a permanent team member. You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting tasks, mainly focusing on our largest sales subsidiary but also, for month-end and year-end close, taking lead to prepare financial statements and act as support for all Group companies including tax calculations and audit preparations. In addition, you will be part of initiatives with the goal to develop our business and improve our processes. 

You will report to Group Accounting Manager and be part of the Finance Department, consisting of seven people. You'll be part of a young and international organization where you will play an important role in identifying and driving improvements within the accounting function.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly-, quarterly-, and year-end financial statements for the subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks and monthly reconciliation
  • VAT reporting for Sweden, other European countries and countries outside of EU and various reports to other authorities
  • Support HR in payroll-related matters and be responsible of the expense process
  • Manage and reconcile customer transactions and accounts receivable and be responsible for the payment solution processes and setup in the ERP system
  • Assist the Group Accounting Manager with the quarterly- and year-end closing of the Group and prepare the annual reports and tax returns
  • Identify process improvements and efficiencies to improve reporting accuracy and system functionality
  • Support in cross-functional initiatives where Finance plays a role as stakeholder
  • Other various tasks and activities may be included from time to time due to the company’s needs and development


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Higher vocational education in accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within accounting
  • Good proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent knowledge in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written


IT'S A PLUS IF YOU HAVE

  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Previously worked within a Group or listed company
  • Previously worked with e-commerce and/or consumer goods with a large number of transactions and inventory management

You have gained experience in accounting and feel secure in a senior accountant role and is motivated to think proactively and constantly want to improve how work is done and want to implement change initiatives. We believe you have a strong work ethic and a team player while being aware of deadlines, quality standards and accuracy.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Extent: This is a maternity leave cover, with a fixed-term contract for 1 year. The extent of the position is full-time. For the right person it might also be possible to become permanent.
